Philanthropic Fund “Together for Community”

The aim of the project Fund "Together for Community," is to encourage tourism companies to give a portion of their income in the Philanthropic Fund and thus contribute to the development of their local community. The idea is that for every Croatian kuna National Foundation gives to the project, another Croatian kuna is provided from the companies. Opening a tender for civil society organizations to apply, the Foundation will disseminate gathered money to finance their community projects.

A civil society organization should work on solving a single problem in the community, and by doing so, improve local development of tourism. In that way some of the issues that local governments do not take as a priority will be solved and both the community and the tourist company will benefit from it (landscaping, enabling access for persons with disabilities, the design of cultural and entertainment events and similar).

By joining the Fund the companies will demonstrate a concrete desire for corporate social responsibility and sustainable development in their environment, which will result in a strong synergy between the company and the local community.

The project was financed through tender Thematic Fund "Democratization and Civil Society 2.0.", by the National Foundation for Civil Society Development.
