The project aims to support the development of the City of Pula's Youth Local Programme for the period from 2024 to 2027 by simultaneously informing and empowering various target groups - youth and decision-makers - to participate effectively and collaboratively in the creation of youth public policies at the local level. The project creates additional spaces and opportunities for connecting young people, establishing and building relationships of trust, with activities focused on high levels of participant involvement in all stages, fostering a sense of ownership over the process and the resulting document.
The general objective of the project is to contribute to increased youth involvement in decision-making processes and the development of the local community through activities that empower youth competencies and strengthen the capacities of key stakeholders in the preparation of the City of Pula's Youth Local Programme for the period from 2024 to 2027.
In addition to regular partner meetings aimed at monitoring and achieving project activity results and informing the broader public, a total of 19 activities - youth events - will be implemented, organized into 9 sets of activities. These activities focus on: empowering youth for participatory design and implementation of action research on youth needs, creating a youth-friendly campaign and brochure to inform youth about the importance and role of strategic document areas, empowering youth and decision-makers to participate in dialogue activities to define objectives, measures, and activities in key areas crucial for active youth participation in society, and empowering youth facing participation barriers, with a focus on youth with intellectual difficulties.
The project will include a total of 8 thematic dialogues between youth and decision-makers in all areas of youth interest: education, science and lifelong learning; active participation and sustainable community development; culture; employment and entrepreneurship development; youth work; youth in European and global contexts; youth social inclusion; health, recreation, and sports activities for youth. Based on the results of thematic dialogues, the Youth Local Programme for the City of Pula for the period from 2024 to 2027 will be developed.
