The first partnership meeting of the project financed through the ITU mechanism of the Urban area of Pula was held
On Wednesday, June 16 this year, the Foundation for Partnership and Civil Society Development attended a partnership meeting in the Municipality of Marčana, which is also the project leader, as part of the project "Development and support for the development of sustainable employment models for vulnerable groups in the Pula Urban Area". The meeting was also attended by the Mayor of Marčana Predrag Pliško, Head Zlatko Cetina and Head of the Department for Social Activities, Economy and Projects Jakov Benazić with representatives of partner organizations from southern Istria - Association of the Blind of Istria County, Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing of Istria difficulties of Istria, the Society of Multiple Sclerosis of the County of Istria and the Association of Cerebral Palsy of the County of Istria.
At the meeting, all activities were presented in detail to the partners and the distribution of obligations and responsibilities for the project was determined. The partners are acquainted with the activities of others and the time course of activities in the project is harmonized. Accordingly, the priority activities of the first quarter of the project and preparations for them have been agreed upon, and they relate to the adaptation of the space of partner associations to adequately prepare for the implementation of all project activities over the next two years and mapping potential participants in project activities and their employment.
The project "Development and support for the development of sustainable employment models for vulnerable groups in the urban area of Pula" aims to increase the employability of vulnerable groups. In addition, the goal is to raise awareness of the importance of social inclusion of all groups in a society, a community through the creation of preconditions for the employment of people from vulnerable groups. In addition, special attention is being paid to reducing discrimination as it is recognized as a serious barrier to the social inclusion of vulnerable groups, especially through employment.
Next week, the signing of an agreement between all partners and the Municipality of Marčana as the project holder is expected, and thus the implementation of project activities will formally begin.

The project, with a total value of HRK 2,201,232.00, is fully financed from the European Social Fund through the Operational Program Effective Human Resources, and within the Integrated Territorial Investments (ITU Mechanism) for the Urban Area of Pula.
