The Foundation organized a Multisector Day workshop to create innovative forms of cooperation for the Philanthropic Fund
On 26 January the Foundation organized a workshop called "Multisector day" gathering representatives of the business and civil sector in order to create new models of cooperation within the new Philantropic Fund of Istria. About 20 people participated the workshop in Croatian Chamber of Economy - Pula County Chamber.
Working in small groups, they were given questions to discuss what motivates a business to invest in the fund, and what are the most important issues the NGOs aim to cover in their projects. The guided discussion also revolved around the programming of tenders for financing NGOs, and commenting advantages and disadvantages of the existing tenders. All the conclusions will be used in programming and promotion of the new philanthropic fund.
Multsector Day was organized as a part of EU project Philanthropy –Supportive and sustainable communities financed by European Union through IPA 2012 Encouraging innovative forms of philanthropy in local communities to support the sustainability of civil society organizations, and co-financed by Croatian Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs. Other partners on the project are: Association for Civil Society Development SMART, Centre for Civic Initiatives Poreč, Buje Open University, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, the City of Rijeka and the City Umag.
