Press-conference: The New Philathropic Fund "Together for the Community"

On Wednesday February 8th 2017. a press.conference was held on the occasion of establishing the Philanthropic Fund "Together for the community" from which the Foundation for Partnership and Civil Society Development Foundation together with partner Foundation "Kajo Dadić" from Split announces first tender for civil society organizations. The Fund will finance projects ofcivil society orfanizations that will contribute to the development of the local community, encourage volunteerism, to solve specific problems and increase the quality of life of the local population and tourists through the numerous free activities.

The members of the Fund are tourist organizations in the Croatian coastal region that, by giving funds, participate in the development of their local communities.The innovation of this Fund stems from the way in which funds are collected. For every Croatian Kuna that is raised from the tourist business sector, the National Foundation for Civil Society Development gave another Kuna. Thus the resources are doubled. The Fund was created through a national project in 2015, funded by the National Foundation, and it's innovative financing model makes this fund unique in Croatia. Through this cross-sector cooperation The Foundation strives to stimulate the organized corporate philanthropy, providing its users, civil society organizations, another source of funding, and to the local people a community according to their actual needs.
