From Treasure hunt to donation- Philantrophy is in!

"Philanthropy is in because good deeds never go out of style" is the sentence that the team from Monte Zaro Elementary School quickly assembled, making them the winning team of the fifth Pula Philanthropic Treasure Hunt.

One of the tasks for students before participating in the Hunt was to gather general information about various civil society organizations operating in different areas and to choose and explain why they want to donate to a specific association. This year, the Monte Zaro Elementary School team chose to donate funds to the association "Our Dream, Their Smile" (Naš San Njihov Osmijeh" because they promote humanity, kindness, and love for people.

Last week, the winning team, along with their teacher and a representative of the Foundation Istria, personally handed over the main prize of 150 euros. The awarded amount was spent on groceries (polenta, cookies, salt) which the students brought to the warehouse where they were greeted by Igor from NSNjO.

After getting acquainted with the space and the work of organization, the students spent 2 hours volunteering in the warehouse, organizing groceries according to Igor's instructions.

Since good deeds never go out of style, we hope other young people will follow this trend as well.
