Presenting the Feel Good programe: visiting Medulin FM

On Monday, February 3, 2025, we had the pleasure of being guests on the children's radio show "Ententini," which airs every other Monday on Medulin FM.

As a reminder, this school year, Zaklada Istra is piloting the Feel Good Program in 8 primary schools across Istria, including the Medulin-based OŠ dr. Mate Demarin. The program in this school is being implemented with first-graders under the guidance of teacher Barbara Vižintin, who also leads a journalism and media group with older students. The Feel Good Program focuses on charity, and as the saying goes, "good news travels far," teacher Barbara, along with students Tara, Mare, and Eni, prepared questions to which we happily responded on air.

We shared with the listeners how much we enjoy and are enriched by collaborating with students, and how their interest in philanthropy provides additional motivation for our work. The Feel Good Program emerged from numerous informal conversations with teachers, volunteers, parents, and students. While the world may seem increasingly selfish and harsh, the Feel Good Program is our way of advocating for charity, solidarity, empathy, and tolerance, nurturing and encouraging philanthropic tendencies among students. The young journalists were also curious about what brings us the most joy in our work, and it was easy to answer: children's kindness and gratitude! At the end of the conversation, we all agreed that there is no such thing as "too small" good deeds and that each of us needs to awaken the philanthropist within!

What good deed did you do today?

We thank teacher Barbara and Medulin FM for the invitation, and the students for the engaging interview!
