Feel Good Club: Preparing to Celebrate the International Day of Happiness!

The implementation of the Feel Good program at Elementarz school Giuseppina Martinuzzi in Pula continues regularly in the second semester. The 4.b grade students (teacher Petra Rajh) have started the final part of the program, symbolically named When Little Hands Work Together.

This segment of the program focuses on action, specifically philanthropic and volunteer initiatives. After learning about the needs of their community, the students decided how and where they wanted to contribute based on their abilities. They expressed a desire to raise monetary donations for the Senior Club at Villa Trap, part of the Alfredo Štiglić Retirement Home in Pula. As a reminder, in December, the students visited the Senior Club members, an experience we previously wrote about. During their visit, they were impressed by the creative work of the residents and wished to raise funds to purchase necessary art supplies for them.

The Feel Good program has equipped the students with the knowledge and skills to launch a philanthropic initiative, so it came as no surprise that they showed great creativity and enthusiasm in tackling this challenge. In collaboration with their teacher and a representative from the Foundation, the students decided to mark the International Day of Happiness (March 20, 2025) at Pula’s City Market. On that day, they will offer handcrafted items inspired by happiness to passersby in exchange for donations. Until then, they are diligently creating these handmade items, and in the coming weeks, we will reveal more details about the philanthropic event at the City Market in Pula.
