First short term joint staff training in San Dona’ di Piave in D'Basket Project
From 2-6 May 2017 the Foundation and the teachers from the partner Elementary school Veli Vrh participated at the FIRST SHORT TERM JOINT STAFF TRAINING in SAN DONA’ DI PIAVE, Italy.
The course was addressed at teachers, educators and school managers with the aim of sharing, testing, and discussing the results of the first intellectual output that is the D’BASKET Knowledge Toolkit.
The joint staff training was planned also for a more in-depth exchange of views among partners on the training content of the course, in order to develop the planned outputs. Finally, the training provided input for the complementarity of possible new methods and pedagogical material into the school curriculum. The methodology of the training combined class-based lessons, workshops, focus groups, practical training, use of IT tools and study visits.
What is the D’BASKET Knowledge Toolkit?
It is the result of the knowledge about promising methods, practices and tools, that partners collected during the first phase of the project. These experiences can be applied and adapted to create educational paths to be implemented into the school curriculum in the following areas:
1. Basic skills in interpersonal and intercultural skills for educators and pupils for inclusion,
2. Media literacy and creativity,
3. Entrepreneurial skills.
Thanks to the work done in this first phase, partners have reached a joint definition of the educational and learning objectives, and put them in a transnational perspective according to EU standards. The short term joint staff training will allow for an in-depth analysis of the outcomes of this first output and will pave the way for the development/adjustment of specific training and educational paths specifically covering each area (so, each topic is self-standing and will be developed as separate project outputs, but it will be understood as a part of a whole D’BASKET concept).
