In February, Foundation Istria announced a tender for Small Community Projects "Small Projects for a Better Tomorrow," open to CSOs, institutions, and local municipality councils within the member municipalities of the Cities and Municipalities Fund:

A commission composed of independent external evaluators proposed a decision to the Foundation's management based on the quality assessments of the submitted projects, which was subsequently adopted. The decision funds 9 projects totaling 54,927.96 euros, of which 29,991.10 euros is co-financed from the Foundation's Fund, as follows: Summaries of approved projects for funding can be viewed here.

For more details on the application procedure, read below:

a total of 35 applications were received through the online application, with 24 applications under priority area 1, "Development of the Local Community," and 11 applications under priority area 2, "Preservation, Valorization, and Promotion of Istrian Identity, Tradition, Culture, and Customs." Of the 35 applications, 27 projects were submitted by CSOs, 6 by institutions, and 2 by local councils.

Administrative verification and criteria for advancing to the next evaluation step: verification and assessment of the quality of the submitted projects were satisfied by 30 projects totaling 148,286.74 euros. The total funds available for this call were 30,000.00 euros, with a maximum of 3,500.00 euros per application. Projects are to be implemented from June 1, 2024, to December 1, 2024.

Applications were received from municipalities and cities that are members of the Foundation's Fund of Cities and Municipalities: 8 from Pazin, 6 from Labin, 5 from Poreč-Parenzo, 3 from Vodnjan-Dignano, 2 from Buje-Buie, 2 from Marčana, 2 from Rovinj-Rovigno, 2 from Vižinada-Visinada, 1 from Barban, 1 from Novigrad-Cittanova, 1 from Svetvinčenat, 1 from Tar-Vabriga-Torre-Abrega, 1 from Tinjan.

We remind you that the Foundation Istria has been announcing this call for fourteen consecutive years, in collaboration with member municipalities and cities of the Fund (Buje-Buie, Labin, Novigrad-Cittanova, Pazin, Vodnjan-Dignano, Poreč-Parenzo, Rovinj-Rovigno, Svetvinčenat, Vrsar-Orsera, Marčana, Ližnjan-Lisignano, Medulin, Funtana-Fontane, Lanišće, Tar-Vabriga-Torre-Abrega, Vižinada-Visinada, Tinjan, Barban), supporting a total of 172 projects worth 303,769.23 euros over this period. Over 4,500 volunteers were involved in implementing small projects, benefiting over 430,000 users.
