The project SOS is nearing its end

Read on to know more about activities which have been implemented in the past few months:

Training for trainers of the legislative theater
The Foundation, the City of Pula, and the INK Pula organized a Training for trainers of the legislative theater, which was held at the INK Drama Studio in Pula and was led by drama educator Aleksandar Bančić. The training was successfully completed and the next task for each participant is to prepare and hold a legislative theater presentation on local problems/needs of young people.

Interactive lectures for students in high schools of the Istrian Region.
In the past few months, the Foundation held 14 interactive lectures at 5 high schools of the Istrian Region with the aim to stimulate and encourage 300 students on proactive engagement in their local communities. Students were given information on what associations are, how they function, and what the benefits of engaging in local communities are. The lectures were enriched with examples of good practices and ways of activating in the local community and concluded with motivating students to join some of the associations operating in the local area or to start a new association.

Education for youth organizations
In the last few months the Foundation organized 9 of education for youth organizations. The educations were about basic concepts and the role of associations in society, the importance of their generally useful activities, and thinking in this context about future activities and strategic activities, digital marketing, media literacy, how to make a pitch, etc. The aim of this educations is to empower NGO representatives to improve their performance and to contribute to community development.


Legislative theater performances and training on funding opportunities for NGOs were held as part of the SOS (socialize – become aware - self-employed) project conducted by the Foundation for Partnership and Civil Society Development with the City of Pula - Pola, the Alumni FET Association of Pula and the Slagalica Foundation in Osijek, and is funded by European Union funds from the European Social Fund program.
